If you?re single (like me), you have two options for Valentine?s day: - Make some money - Be sad and lonely Don?t know about the rest of you? but I?m planning on making some money :sgrin: Here?s a really simple method to make some cash on Valentine?s day. I?m just going to outline the BASICS here. The people who go away and twist this will make some great money. If you have the ability to automate certain processes you?ll make even more. Firstly you need to pick a gender to target. I?m going with females as I think most people will target males ? so there will be less competition. Then you want to come up with a generic male name. Ideally a common name so it?s like the person you target will know someone with that name. I?ll pick James. Then pick up an appropriate domain. Something like jamessecretvalentine.com would be great (no I haven?t registered this). You can also use a free domain, but a paid domain will work better. Next you want to build a really basic landing page. The more amateur it looks, the better. You could even make it on blogspot and use your domain as a redirect. On the landing page write something like: ?Hiya, I was way too shy to give this to you in person so I sent you a message. I wrote a song just for you Hope you like it! [Link ? use a random youtube video that?s not personalised. Here?s one I found with a 30 second search: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UmuJMMJgTo] Will you be my valentine? James x? Once you?ve got that setup, you want to content lock the video. I use Content Lock Pro, but if you can?t afford it then any free one offered by a network will do. You?ll just be leaving some money on the table. Lock the video so that it only comes up on-click (Content Lock Pro users: we have code for this on the private forum). For non-CLP users, set it to pop up on a timer (20 seconds will do). You want the visitor to see the video is legit and click on it. Once they click on it, you know they are curious. They will almost definitely fill out an offer. If your CPA network has mobile offers, I?d recommend these as they pay more. If not, an email submit will do. By keeping the landing page generic you can then target any female (ideally single). If they know someone called James they will most likely want to watch the video. If they are single, they will probably fill out an offer to see the whole video. Now you have a site up, time to drive some traffic. You only have a day so search engine traffic is no good. We want direct traffic. Anywhere you can send messages and target younger people is great. Here?s a few suggestions: - Facebook - Twitter - Myspace - PlentyOfFish - Large forums Those who are creative will find a bunch of smaller social networks. These are spammed less so will probably be more effective. Here?s a small list I found: http://www.ebizmba.com/articles/social-networking-websites in under a minute. Spend a LITTLE time being creative and coming up with traffic sources. You want to target single women so it should be easy. Think fashion forums, gossip forums etc. With the message itself, keep it generic (so you can reuse it). Do NOT send it from ?James?. Send it from some random account. The message itself should say something like: ?Hey [name ? if you have it], You don?t know me, but I?m friends with James and he asked me to send you this. He?s REALLY shy and has wanted to ask you out for ages! He made you a video and posted on his website: [website link] Hope you enjoy it. I thought it was so sweet [random name]? You will probably get a better response messaging from a female account. They will feel less threatened . Keep the message short so curious people click the link. This is REALLY easy to do and will make good money without too much work. If you can message people in bulk, you will do well. You could even just post generic messages around ?omg look what some desperate guy made for this girl? and see who clicks. Tons of single people will be bored on Valentine?s day. Some will be sad and lonely. Others will be making money. Which one will you be?
