Hi, I'm currenly using Majesticseo to clean my backlinkprofile and will update every new feature that I find useful. I'm pretty new at majesticseo where I only know how to download the reports and go through the different flows.

Here's a couple of questions. Please help me get answer to them, I would really appreciate it.

    Domain URL:
What I'm i looking for? I have 5000 domain url with backlinks pointing to them. I see their ranking.
1: Should I aim to get links to many of my subdomains? e.g http://www.hats.com/hats ?
2: I use to have a shop under my domain /shop, but this is gone, but i still have 800 links pointing to it, should I remove them?
3: What is the main purpose of this feature?

4: Are you using advance report or normal reports?
5: any other tips when using majesticseo for seo?

Forgot: On the "Referring domains", some of the domains that are on the top of the list are PR2 websites, while some in the end of the list are PR5. If I start deleting the links in the end of that list, is it possible that I delete good links?

I also see that the URL have flow metrics and the domain have flow metrics. I guess its no point of having links from places with great domain metrics if the url metrics are low? Are anyone using majesticseo to in everyday work? The reason that I ask in this forum is that the tutorials on majesticseo are not good. they do not answer my questions.

If you get a client and your job is to do a backlink profile check, whats the first you will check and do?

Instead of removing links with 0 URL flow metrics and high domain flow metrics, is there any trick to increase the url flow metrics making the link more valuable? Is there anyone else in this forum using majesticseo? First, sort by citation flow and trust flow. Anything below 10 in in the game of getting removed when I am cleaning a site up.

Make a list of all domains under 10 (unique domains) and for each, analyze the page, metrics such as PR and age. Then if it's not more than 200 domains, check which of those domains have social signals, gov/edu domains linking to them, and maybe bad anchors to pharma/porn sites - anything like that you don't need!

Thanks and rep added accelerator_dd. I really appreciate your reply.
When I rank my links, then some get citation flow and thrust flow on both url and domain. In the beginning of the list is all with high url thrust flow and high url citation flow, but in the middle i get 0 on url citation flow but really high on the domain thrust flow. Do I also remove the pages with 0 url thrust flow even if the high domain thrust flow is 80-90 or really high?

Hey, since you seem to really understand these metrics. Why would my citation flow be around 30, yet my trust flow is only around 9?

Thanks again. Are you looking at the links or at the domains and then removing all the links from the different domains? I only have around 80 domains, 30 under 10 in thrust flow.

I'm just looking at the main domain.

So website.com, and I don't really get the difference between trust flow and citation flow.

Citation flow is like page rank - it shows the "strength" of the backlinks that are pointed to a website
Trust flow shows the trustworthiness or reliability of the backlinks

So for example a lot of spammy blog comments can have a high citation flow but they will have a low trust flow as google will regard them spammy. On the other hand, a link from bbc.co.uk will have both flows very high.

Thanks, but as links are shown ranked from good to bad, why are many of my good thrust flow domain links in the end of my back links list?

Can someone answer the question everyone is asking?

When looking at domain thrust flow, page rank or citation rank it can be really high.
But then you look at the URL thrust flow, page rank etc it is 0, nothing, as low as it gets.

Then if I remove/add links based on Domains thrust flow, I can end up having lots of links from good domains, but bad urls giving me the lowest possible thrust flow and citation flow on my links?!?!?!

    HOW TO USE THIS?
And please explain in detail, not just thrust flow or alexa rank or whatever, also include on what (domain or back links, the further detailed to flow on back links on the domain or flow on backlinks to url.)

Does anyone know this, any clue?

If you have 800 links pointing to a URL that is no longer there as you have stated above, the best thing to do is to do a 301 redirect from that old URL to the new equivalent URL that replaced that URL. You don't want to throw away link equity if you can help it. :)

Domain authority is very important, so looking at the domain metrics is what you should be doing.
