    Hi all,
Majestic SEO does not seem to work perfectly for me recently.
I have 4 sites and it did not find a single link for any of my sites today.
Although yahoo finds the links as it should for all the sites so they are there.
But if i enter a different website into Majestic SEO it shows perfectly.

Is Majestic pretty much the standard for backlink checking these days, so should i be worried?
Let me add the comment: a few weeks ago i entered my sites and it worked perfectly. I don't think i got sandboxed or removed since them, however my sites are still not ranking for my keywords (1 month old domains) if i check Seo Centro it says i do not rank at all in any of the search engines.
My sites typically have around 1000-1500 links pointing to the domain.

    Thanks!

AFAIK Majestic SEO is its own search engine/web crawler in which only backlink data is collected.. So I'm guessing its because mSEO hasn't yet crawled the sites that your backlinks are on

Were the sites there a few weeks ago and after you started spamming them? I have my own backlink spider aswell so f you feel like it - send me the urls and I will check.

Majestic publishes the results of its web crawls no more than about once a month, sometimes longer. As a result, it is not the best for brand new sites, and I think this is its major weakness. In its defense, it takes a long time to crawl and get a complete picture of all the links on the web, and doing this on a daily basis is beyond their compute power. Also, if your site only has links to it that are unlikely to be found, you can get a phenomenon where it never finds your site. This is quite rare, but I have seen it happen with backlinks from blogs that get banned/deleted etc.

Majestic is very good for SEO death battles in competitive niches with sites that are at least a few months old. Yahoo's backlinks are treated by most SEO tools as if they show all the backlinks in an authoritative way. In my experience, they can miss 95% of the backlinks (an astoundingly large number). If you need to know the links your competitor has to get those links in an SEO death battle, Majestic is one of the only ways you are going to find out this information.

One of the biggest problems with almost all the SEO tools out there is that they rely on Yahoo giving accurate data about backlinks. This is not the case, and if you are executing a competitive niche SEO strategy using Yahoo data, you are going to be disappointed. You need accurate backlink data or your battle strategy is based on completely inadequate Yahoo data. As others have done using bad intelligence, you may find yourself going to war over weapons of mass destruction that don't actually exist
