MailChimp lets you import your gmail contacts. But 1) I can't figure out how to import multiple gmail account's contacts and 2) Gmail's contacts are limited, and I want to add ALL the email addresses I have recieve mail from into the Contacts, and all my research has found are ways to import them one at a time, and I am looking at over 6,000 conversations full of email addresses that I would like to add to my contacts.

Anyone know how this can be done?

I thought of exporting into .csv and then importing, but that's ... "inelegant". And, as you well know, I care about such things. We must not be thought of as crude, or uncouth.

And that still doesn't solve the problem of turning all 6000 of my emails into hundreds & hundreds of contacts. Schwing!

I may have a workaround that might do the trick.

    Here's a Thunderbird add-on I found:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/email-address-crawler/?src=collection&collection_id=5d62f67c-ad28-4600-68ea-beffa3e73be8

    Method:

    1) Create multiple accounts in Thunderbird, one for each gmail account
    2) Download all gmails to TBird (leave copy on Server)
    3) Run add-on tool on each account's Inbox, and dump scraped email addresses to common address book
    4) Import TBird Address Book into MailChimp
    5) Send email blast
    6) Delete downloaded gmails from local computer.

Unless someone has a better idea?

The next problem/issue to worry about is that I am being told that MailChimp bans accounts for high bounce rates. Since I'd rather not have that hassle, I wonder if anyone has a suggestion on how to "pre-clean" an email list before sending it?
