    Is that typo on purpose?
Anyway, well done on the commissions you've made. I doubt I'll stop the amazon associates game any time soon. For the things I promote, it's nigh on impossible for me to drop ship it, and the products I am punting are interconnected so if someone buys one thing, they're more than likely going to be the others that are suggested to them.

You are right in a way.
I started out with an Amazon affiliate site, still raking in about 1k/month and I then created 4 more which today soon to be 2 years from now are earning me a 90% passive income of around 3k$/month.
These are still raking in a decent 2-3k/month and I've updated them with content once or twice this year. Surely I do check them on occasion to update product links see if there are better options to target etc. But that's like a 20-minute job when you know the niche to create a review of 500-600 words.

I do however agree with you fully and I twisted 2 of my other affiliate sites a year ago and they made me around 100k first 6 months so as long as you have traffic there are many routes to go while still keeping those affiliate earnings coming in. The earnings from affiliate links might decrease but overall you will increase a shitload. Just find a way to twist others ideas into something new and you're all set.

I can understand you OP, in my journey I almost reached € 1000 a day only with Amazon and I never wrote a content. That said, every year my budget to rank websites is bigger because of competitors that are getting stronger every single month...

Now my strategy is different, I invest more and faster, in this way only big brands can follow me, no little player can rank better than me if I'm investing € 10K+/month in link building and if I'm building 1000+ contents websites (in 2/3 months). They simply don't have the cash to beat me, but I need to work smart and fast, this is a big kick in the ass, always on the run, always busy. I must be honest with you, I don't like the whole Amazon commission system and I don't like advertise products, I'm in love only with Seo, I'm a 110% competitive guy and I love to be first, I love to find new white hat methods to rank and I like to pay € 500+ for a link... This kind of stuff.

Btw I'm looking for something different, something can make me happy (no money or making other companies bigger). When you speak about YouTube videos + Amazon affiliate I think it's crazy because I'm paying 10 € for each content, a video would cost me at least 300 € and a lot of time to produce it. You can still make a lot of money with Amazon but you need to go smarter, lower the cost of content production and you need to do better/smarter link building (instead of 15 affiliate website I can advice to build only one and concentrate the whole budget in that project).

Don't want to say what you need to do, you're free and you're quitting your Amazon road, but I wanted to let you know that there are a lot of different companies that are doing millions out of Amazon and it's possible to replicate them by reinvesting your earned money from first projects. Always on the run, always reivesting all pennies you've earned, only in this way you can be fast, you can be strong
and eviscerate your enemies (this one from The Wolf of Wall Street).

That said, I wish you all the best for your future projects and I think you'll find the work you're passionate about :)

darulez : most honest reaction I 've come across. you're completely correct. Everyone hosting amazon s ad does so for the benefit of Bezos ' cashcow.
Good to know ' free' AWS draws your milk too. Using Google 's free cloud instead. africasiaeuro01.appspot.com

You are the reason why new guys can rank something without much competition. In my nice, there is even authority sites on page 2 for keyword with 300 monthly searches, and no, there is not high price products (20-100usd). It's just happening, for every small shit there is competition, and imagine, I need to invest at least 2k$ in keyword with 300 monthly searches. I will get ~100$ per month from it. I will never get back the invested money from it. The only way to earn more, is to make authority (5-10 articles per day) news, reviews, how to's , giveaways etc. Then you will start ranking small kw's without link building and you can focus on big articles.

Scale it up, outsource it and you will be able to sip that whiskey in bahamas! (they are gone now, but got my idea)

Can you tell a bit more about the linkbuilding tactics for the affiliate website? I also want to crush my competitors :)

This is my must-read guide https://www.gotchseo.com/backlinks/. Nathan knows his stuff, is a great Seo and I agree with his idea of link building (I'm using a lot of same technics).
Works for personal projects like affiliate websites or clients' websites (is the same thing except for the local Seo)

    +1 for having telepathic insights.

dont trust any non-google "coworker" in the SEO industries that openly denies using PBNs or their sheer power or gobbles the same old "white hat outreach and reach " bullshit..

if you want to be fooled, just continue reading their crap. meanwhile, dudes outrank you by 2k expired domains or 500$ per blogpost on authority sites. and they give a crap on "outreach" or "guest posting".

I agree that, it's not a real business if you relied on a 3rd party.
I used to sell my stuff on Amazon, it's getting harder to make money on Amazon.

I think this is yet another reason why affiliate marketing needs to stop being automatically associated with amazon. I blame some (not the majority, of course) of the older folks in here that only talk about amazon when referring themselves to affiliate marketing.

There's an entire world of affiliates out there, you just have to look for them. There are programs paying like 60%. Yes, you read that right - It's more than some people are making via dropshipping. I am 100% sure that much like there's a subtle niche narrative, where everyone and their dog tries to be super secretive regarding their target audience and the content of their websites, there's also another more elusive narrative where some of the most experienced folks don't disclose some of the best affiliate offers, which of course, are not related to amazon.

"Just go to offervault bro!". Well, actually sir, no. Offervault tends to present mostly CPA offers, many of them super shady, with shitty looking landing pages, which just scream "SHITTY PRODUCT!!" to any mildly experienced internet user.

If you wanna find the real meat of affiliate marketing you should do the following 2 things:

    1) Google "YOUR NICHE" + "affiliate program".
You'll be surprised at the amount of programs you will find. It will take you a couple of hours to finds them though. It takes some browsing to look through all the filth and scammy looking programs - It'll take you a bit of time before you start building a list of programs that not only do offer decent commissions (15%+) but also those that don't engage in scammy shitty practices. There are many of those that involve forcing the buyer into obligatory recurring payments via their credit card: Just look at bizprofits (which you should avoid like the plague if you're planning on building a medium-to-long-term website) for fucks sake. My advice would be to find something programs which do not only offer actual good products that work, but also do provide fair commissions to their affiliates. Avoid anything looking too third world. Millenials are internet savvy, and your commissions will definitely increase with more visually appealing offers.

    2) Browse shareasale, rakuten, commission junction, and the like. Seriously, stop making offervault your starting point when looking for offers. There have been many times in which the best offers I found weren't even listed there. And if you do find great offers in there, chances are that you will have to register websites like the above in order to apply for them.
