So, any mma fans in here?

I'm a long time fan, been watching pirated ppv streams at 4 in the morning since 2002. Also used to do a bit of fighting myself.

I would put my money on jones but I hope machida wins :)

    I'm a huge mma fan.

Would like Machida to win, but Jones is monster. Would hate to bet on this fight, as Machida has the style to beat Jones, but I think Jones takes it.

    I'm pumped for this fight.
Machida is one of my favorite fighters, him and Nick Diaz.

I love Machida, but how can you bet against Jones? I don't think he's ever been in any kind of trouble, nor has he ever looked less than dominant.

Jon Jones may be the best mma fighter we've ever seen. I've been following mma since the first ufc when the guy got his tooth knocked out in the ring. I study it. Jon has the longest reach in ufc history. He's going to knock Machida out. I like Machida his style is very intelligent he's in and out smooth he's accurate he has a great ground game. But Jon Jones is completely fresh and new he's the youngest ufc champion ever. He beat legends and made it look easy. He beat Shogun. Have you seen him fight in pride? He's amazing. At the end of the fight with Jones if you watch closely you can see Shogun on the ground tapping. Fighters of his caliber never tap from being hit it's unheard of. Jones beat Rampage Jackson. Who has a recent win by decision over Machida. The light heavyweight division is so stacked there are so many talented individuals available to challenge Jones for his belt. I'd like to see Anderson Silva challenge Jones for his belt that would be the fight of the century. I'd like to see some other fights at 205 other than Jones defending his belt he's had a lot of title defenses early. And what happened to Jon Fitch he was rated the number 2 welter weight in the wolrd then he just disappears? Tito Ortiz fighting little Nog is going to be a battle as well. Minatoro is fighting Frank Mir again if he gets the win I could see him getting a title shot. Last time Frank made short work of him. All great fights tonight!

I wanna say Machida, but I think bones will take it.

Machida is one of my favorites, but the shogun fights knocked him down a little bit.

I am going with Bones. His size, reach and athletic ability or on another level, add to that he seems to be picking up skills very quickly tell me he is going to beat up on Lyoto.

Machida's counter strike style could keep him from being finished but I see nothing less than a unanimous decision for Bones.

heading to wegz in the t.dot to watch the fight. Jones is gonna take it.

    This says it all..

"Lyoto's a unique challenge, and really there's nothing to fear when you're prepared," Jones said.

No post fight questions, comments, or concerns? Amazing night of fights! Everything happened! I thought Lyoto might beat Jones after that first round but boy did he straighten out the confusion! Frank Mir submits big Nog? Never saw that coming! A night of knockouts and spectacular submissions it just keeps getting better!

I know, crazy night of fights.
Jon Jones has annihilated a fourth legend in a row, pretty outstanding. Hats off to Machida though, he definitely had the first round, I thought he might even knock JBJ out.

After seeing what happened with Machida.. He's not as unbeatable as he was 3 days ago.

Sorry, Jones fans. But Machida showed Jones how the fuck striking works. He toyed with him the ENTIRE time. Jones couldn't hit him, couldn't block him, kept doing that stupid hand waving around bullshit trying to distract Machida.

To which, Machida stupidly waved his hands back with a dumb look on his face right back at Jones. That entire fight was what Jones looks like when he's scared. Machida was confident in his stand up and how SLOW Jones was by comparison.

Those were all natural reflexes on display by Machida and Jones had no answer. Machida was faster, more accurate, more instinctual and overwhelming. Jones' striking looked like bad jokes every time he tried some stupid spinning back kick or elbow or whatever other dumb shit works on fat cookie eating slobs like Rampage. The only time Machida really got hit was when he rushed in and Jones started swinging like a panicked retard. Then he'd get him with like a left hook, Machida laughed and Jones got hit with 2 lefts, a headkick and an uppercut.

Then Machida got clipped, cut and started to rush everything.

I'd love to see a rematch.. Machida had him the entire time until they hit the mat. Jones is not an elite striker and he has a shitty attitude. He's big, he's tall and he has EIGHT FOUR INCH ARMS. Almost a foot longer than the competition. Sorry, but at that size, I expect to see domination of every single round.

Maybe now that he's been clocked and (you and I know it) lost a round, people will bring him off his pedestal and realize he very well could have lost that fight without that elbow.

Its mma man, anything can happen. That's the beauty of it. If Machida had have won I could also say : "he very well could have lost that if the fight had gone to the ground and jones could have used his elbows"

I don't understand why Jones didn't shoot earlier and tried standing up with him. He can probably manhandle anyone in 205 with wrestling+elbows.

Not about the main event, but I had a bet with a friend that Mir would submit Big Nog... He gave me 10/1 odds... worked out well for me :)

On topic, Machida was doing very well in the stand-up before he was submitted.
