Why is everyone always wary of refurbs? Refurbished products are often in better shape than new products because they're carefully inspected upon return to the factory whereas new products often go un-inspected while on an assembly line.

I've purchased lots of refurb products with no problems at all and even a refurb Mac about a year ago and it runs just as good as a brand new one.

Depends on luck at the end of the day ...

If it was refurb due to hard disk failure, screen problem, etc. Its ok.

But if the mac previously was returned due to overheating, hardware & software having conflicts, software crashing all the time then the techs at mac can only replace the parts and hope it doesn't happen again. Which is why luck plays a part.
