These pseudo-luxury brands are ridiculous... Youtube is full of Chanel bags reviews where the bag starts to already fall apart after 2 weeks of use. I went to Chanel website once and it was all made of polyester + costume jewelry, thank you very much, I already have this in fast fashion stores.
Honestly, at fast fashion stores you can get cute polyester stuff moderately priced, if you wait for a sale you could get some pieces cheaper than in shit 2nd hand stores. There are some offline stores that sell silk dresses, etc without any shit logos at moderate price (still a bit pricey if you're broke, but not couple thousands like 'luxury' brands), you can buy horn combs and hair accessories at normal prices online, etc, etc. You can get nice oriental perfume with real herbs at etno stores. Hell, during covid grocery store (chain) near my old apt started selling clothes very cheap and I got really nice dresses and workout clothes from there, looked like good quality fast fashion brand.
Fuck, I've been following this topic for a while and to me it really seems like these pseudo-luxury brands just scam middle class idiots. Of course it's an overstatement that broke people buy this, because if you're really broke you're buying only food and trying to pay rent *cough* but these brands aren't reasonable spending choices. Don't even get me started on their cosmetics lines... Looked at Chanel eyeshadows ingridients and it looked like my eyes would fall off. Too much potentially allergenic stuff... Any random health food or even main drugstore brand (eco is popular so now they make all products like this) is better than this shit.
Wanna get something nice? Buy real gold jewelry, fill your house with porcelain and crystal glass, buy silk clothes, natural hair accesories, natural perfume, etc. Reeks of class. And when you want shiny and flashy just get fast fashion, it's not worth overpaying for it.
