Hello everyone,

I have a couple of questions related to Lunarpages...

1. Do they allow unlimited websites?
2. Do they allow Autoblogs?
3. Do they have a good support?
4. Will they ban my websites without any investigation/asking?

I've tried to find the answers on google, but I have a feeling their are many fake reviews (people claiming they are 90% down,...) when others say it's 99% up!

Hey there.
I did a quick google search and looked at their rates.
It seems to be overselling.
If i were you, i'd just use hostgator.

I am using lunarpages,I also have used hostmonster and dreamhost..and feel lunarpages is bad..

I have a mix of 10 dedicated servers and a whole lot of shared servers that I set up for a client.

One of the dedicated boxes is from Lunar, set up in early November with Webmin / SendStudio / phpMyAdmin / Postfix running under Linux. It mails a list of 384K recipients three times a week reliably at around 40K email per hour average. 2 IPs came with it and I added a dozen domains to use and then retire after each send.

Support has been good and it works as well as most regular dedicated Linux boxes should. Mail is cleared from the POP accounts automatically so I know when it is down and so far it only goes down when we reboot it after changing IP / Domains

For this kind of use I'd get another from them if needed

Regards

Ronin

ive had a shared account with them for a few months now. basically i ended up using about 20 times the resource allotment by running a dozen or so autoblogs.

even after pausing them all so they were static sites, using caching, and a CDN, while getting less then 1000 hits per day total, i was still like 10 times over usage! what the hell good is that?

this was on the upgraded $10/month plan too...

they dont even have any way to tell what domain/user/page/process that is using up resources so it is basically impossible to fix.

I first ordered lunarpages a long time ago because a BHer told me that they would never ban me.

Then when I went to order, I stopped on the final order page before I confirmed it, because I had second thoughts, and they sent me a coupon for 50% off! So then I bought them.

I don't know if they still never ban, but their customer service is awesome, and they have been lenient with me when I've done some grey hat things.
