Is one link from Amazon services?
Does anyone know how to connect Amazon UK with payoneer?
    Sorry for offtopic a bit.

    Keep going.

    Hey LuckyCharm,

Just thought I'd say this journey has already taught me great fundamentals about building a site up from nothing.

As I'm currently excelling in my last years of university I am going to be taking a journey myself in order to hopefully raise some funds. I am not in need of money however I'd love some form of challenge and thought a passive income of £25 a day would be a [hopefully] realistic goal.

Through uni, i have written 15,000 word reports and have potential to spew out quality 1,000+ word reports daily however my question is:
What is the importance of having a lot of words, and more-so keywords?

Can you potentially link me to a thread explaining this?

Why is it impressive when someone has "300,000 words" in their site, and is it not more important what these words explain?

Thank you so far and I really look forward to watching this journey!

Check the last couple of videos, they'll show you how.

    https://www.payoneer.com/help/how-to-videos/

When you build a site, having a lot of words is completely irrelevant. You can have 1 million words and still rank for nothing if you don't target the right keywords or if your content isn't optimized for search engine. Also, if your content is shit, the chances of ranking well goes down and the chance of converting your users into buyers goes down as well.

Your content doesn't need to be 500 or 2000 or 20 000 words, it just needs to provide a clear answer to what your audience is searching for.

    UPDATE

I'm almost done fixing the problem on the site I bought. Once that is done, I will be able to work again on this journey site! In the meantime, here's a small update on my earnings. Here's a breakdown of my Amazon revenue since the beginning of this journey:

    November earnings: $24.77 Amazon
    December earnings: $78.97 Amazon
    January earnings: $148.91 Amazon

    So far after 14 days:

and I have 16 ordered but not shipped items. Good month so far!

    Hey Lucky,
    Had some questions for you:

    1. Did you buy the website with content created for you initially? I see some site creators around here on BHW creating these authoritative websites with 7k-15k, and I wonder how good are these sites, or at least the content? Am I going to have to rewrite most of the content?

    2. You mentioned you're only doing white hat manual outreach for links, no diversity link packages. You also mentioned you use IFTTT for linkbuilding, what channels are you using for IFTTT, and how does that differ with some of the diversity link packages out there?

    3. After you get the site going, do you plan on adding adsense to supplement income?

    4. Back to seo and backlink acquisition, are you doing/going to do/thought about using Guestographics? I see you're doing a combination of resource link building with a "second swing" added into your outreach that sets you up for possible round-ups/guest posts, have you thought about adding broken link building to the mix? To me I see guest-posts, resource links, and broken-link building as the holy trinity of white-hat link building. Round-ups are nice, but the OBL on some of the articles can be a bit much, and you have to either have an established brand and some authority in the niche, or you have to hunt on HARO type networks for requests for interviews...

    5. What in terms are you doing for multimedia? Are you creating or linking to memes, pictures, infographics, and/or youtube videos witin your articles?

Appreciate the replies, and keep up the great work, this is a great thread!

First, damn your pug grew so fast lol

300K words. Wish I could write but fuck I'm lazy, most of my expense goes into content.

Until today, never heard of a plugin to reduce bounce rate, did the plugin helped your site in anyway? Also noticed on your latest GA update that your bounce rate rocketed, did you remove the plugin?

Best of luck on your journey, also about to create one journey myself.

    1. No, I built the site from scratch. If you don't have the time to build everything yourself and you'd like to kickstart a new project, buying a site from the marketplace might be a good idea. However, I have not seen someone offer a fully optimized, siloed site yet and the content used is garbage at best.

EDIT: I used to offer a service like that but I ditched it because I wasn't making any money out of it and that didn't even include a fully optimized, siloed site. To be honest, the price for a 15,000 words of quality content, fully optimized and siloed site would probably cost me $1,250 USD and that would be my cost, no profit (so think maybe $1700-$1800) for a 15,000 words site. Now, imagine the quality you're getting if you're paying $400 for a 15,000 words site (that's the average price of a 15,000 words on the marketplace)

    2. feed ---> twitter, feed ---> facebook, feed ---> G+, feed ---> WordPress, WordPress ---> Tumblr. I don't bother with the rest.

    3. I already did.

That's on top of my Amazon earning.

    4. I tested Guestographics and the response rate was way too low and the cost of a link acquisition (time & money) was too high. I look for semi-relevant articles/topics (for example, if my article talks about the new Honda Civic, I will target articles talking about cars in general) and straight up offer money if they add a link to their already existing article. I also mention that if it's not possible, I would also be open to writing a guest post for them.

I also try to target websites that have a strong social media presence but aren't necessarily targeting organic search. Usually, these guys are more inclined to accept to link back to your site while someone who's trying to gain ground on organic search might see you as a direct competitor and won't want to link back to you.

I don't use HARO. Again, the cost of a link acquisition is too high.

    5. Yes, I use everything that can A) make my article more relevant and B) Keep my user entertained and engaged.

Yeah, he's growing up VERY fast!

300k words isn't that hard once you get to know your niche very well and you enjoy writing about it. The name of the plugin is called "reduced bounce rate" and, in fact, it doesn't seem to be working anymore. I noticed my bounce rate going up for the past (2?) weeks and the plugin is still active.

I'm surprised someone that writes content for a living would need a plug-in to reduce bounce rate.

I've not tried ITTT does it just syndicate your content around, Isn't there a chance of Duplicate content using them?

Have any samples of content? Would like to see the quality of content that's earning this revenue. Your calculation is around .10 a word for you to write 15k words for $1,700-$1,800 - how long would that take you to write if you don't mind me asking?

You're not looking at it the right way. The time it takes (I value my time) to build a properly optimized site, post (and optimize) the articles, add the photos, CTA, Meta, build a proper silo probably takes longer to actually write the content. In a way, you would also somewhat pay for my expertise :p It might not make sense right now, but you'd understand what I meant if I showed you one of my sites.

Just to give you an example, it took me roughly a month to fix a site that had 97 articles published (I haven't touched the content). That's just fixing the issues. It just shows how hard it is to build a site the right way. Hiring someone to upload a template and a couple of articles just to fill the 15,00 words without thinking much what your audience really need isn't going to help you rank much :p

No kidding, for my sites I have the keyword research, site architecture, customer avatar research, and content calendar all finished - I just often look for capable individuals to help me fill them out since I often get busy working on client projects instead of my own. Good luck with the site.

you're already ahead of 99% of the people who start an affiliate site. I got the same issue, most of the time I'm too busy working on my client's sites and can't put much work on my own. I'd wish you good luck but I doubt you'll need luck, you seem to be going the right direction.

    2/3 of the month update.

A lot of keywords has entered the top 10 position in the past 48 hours. Everything is on the rise, I love that! Just a quick reminder:

    So far this month:

    UPDATE

Although February is only 28 days, I had a very good month and growth. In the past 3 days, my keywords and traffic have been going down a little bit but looking at GA, it's totally normal. I've had some setback for a couple of days only to see it skyrocket right after. My users love my site, I already had a couple of emails/comments from real people saying that my article(s) have helped them solve their issues. I have also received emails and proposal from different affiliate networks and companies who would like their products to be featured on my site.

Back to earnings, here's a breakdown of each month since I started this journey:

    November earnings (Amazon): $24.77
    December earnings (Amazon): $78.97
    January earnings (Amazon): $148.91

What theme's do you prefer to use for your site or aff sites in general? Also, are there any sites you like to model after, because they have a great set-up?
