Any tips on reducing bounce rate and increasing time on page? You seem to be doing very well in both categories, would love some insight into what you're doing.

    Thank you!

I started with one site. I got it to page 3 and then got penalized for unnatural link building. I took a two months break, came back and built 2 more sites. One never really made it while the other one made me around $450 a month until both got penalized for unnatural link building.

Back to the drawing board, I decided to put all my effort into white hat links (as clean as possible). It took me a year to build one of my most successful site (making me $2.4k/month right now). At month #8, I thought I had the recipe for success and built an extra 21 sites. I failed on 10 of them and only one made it to $1000+/month. All the other ones were doing between $150 and $400/month passive income (my first journey site included).

Last year, I built one last site on a topic that I really liked. I didn't do any SEO or link building, I just wrote articles for fun until I had over 60 articles and over 120k words. I already knew managing that many sites was going to be a problem later on. At some point, someone, somewhere was going to outrank me (I wasn't building links on them anymore) and I was going to lose my income. That's when I decided to sell ALL the sites I had that were making under $1000/month.

I sold them all. Kept my "top 2" and that one site that I built for fun who was barely making $20 a month (this journey site) and recently bought another site which was in the niche I am really interested in.

To answer your question, start with one. You don't need - and probably can't - manage properly too many sites. If you spread your money between X number of sites, that you won't get you as far as if you invested everything on a single site. Just like when you're buying links, quality > quantity.

I'm using a plug-in called (reduce bounce rate). It pings GA every 10 seconds to let them know the user is still on the page.

No it's not onelink as that is a localization script, The one I'm talking about is an official plug-in that allows you to search for items on Amazon in the WordPress editor so you don't have to search for it on Amazon. It's a little like EasyAzon on how it works as it uses the Amazon API

Heads up with OneLink for anyone in the U.S: call your bank and see what the minimum required foreign check amount has to be in order for them to convert it into USD. If you have a national bank, such as Wells Fargo or Bank of America, you should be good regardless of the amount, but it's worth the 2 minute phone call. My bank isn't a national one and won't convert any single check that's less than 300 in whatever foreign currency. So now I have over $800 worth of checks sitting on my desk until I get unlazy and drive to open a Bank of America account (and then wait 4-6 months for the checks to go through their process and clear).

This could have been alleviated if I had called my bank to find out the currency threshold and set my Amazon foreign site check threshold to be over that amount :suspicious:

@LuckyCharm007 in the past how long has a site with grey/blackhat link building tactics survived before being hit with an unnatural links penalty?

You said you had several sites like that in the past, so interested usually how long do they survive.

@LuckyCharm007 Subscribed man, enjoy reading your journey.

One question, you said you've been penalized for unnatural link building several times.

Did you do the link building?

Does this mean we should stay away from the SEO services on BHW?

Also, what software do you use to monitor your links and keywords? Is that MOZ?

    Would love your input, thanks!

Good point. I'm from Canada and I use Payoneer for US/UK payments. It worked out well so far.

They lasted as long as the "PBN network" lasted, which is never really long. Maximum 12 months.

No, I bought most of the links. One-time fee PBNs, diversification packages, web 2.0 etc.. all crap. I can't/won't say you should stay away from every SEO services on BHW, but you should definitely stay away from the cheap packages and "quantity" packages. Long-term, that usually don't end well.

I use Serplab.co.uk to monitor my keywords. GWT to monitor my links.

Would you recommend using gsa to do it on your own?

No. Everytime I tested a GSA blast on a test domain of mine the keywords went down. I wouldn't do it.

Hey Lucky, appreciate your thorough responses man.

With the links, I know you're doing all of them now.

Have you had success with any paid links? Would you be able to recommend anyone?

I'm thinking about buying some packages, but only asking for the Tier 1 Links. You think good idea?

Also, how would you recommend I start link building on my own?

Of course I did, but every time I paid for links, it was always quality over quantity. The truth is, you don't need 1000++ links to rank for medium-hard competition keywords. My site has just under 150 links right now and it's growing like crazy. You need quality content, quality links and time. That's really all you will ever need. Don't be afraid to pay $100+ a link. I wouldn't mind paying $250 for a link on a domain that is not that strong but is relevant to my article/topic.

I don't really have a recommendation or tips on how you could/should start link building on your own other than go out there and reach out to other webmasters in your niche.

    QUICK UPDATE:

I'm doing a quick update because I'm about to reach $100 on Amazon (on the 10th day of the month), which is great! As expected, the conversion rate is going up since I added OneLink on my site.

How much you pay for an article on an average? I mean to ask you hire quality writers for high fee but cheapest one? coz for 300k words its need loads of money.
How much you invested for that much content?
