Hello, hello! Some of you may already know me from my first journey thread which ended with a profit of $8,885 over a period of 11 months. I made some good and bad moves, but most importantly, I learned a lot. I also got myself a puppy, but who cares? About a year ago, I realized I had way too many sites in my portfolio. I didn't have the time or patience to update 10 sites, so I decided to sell most of my niche sites. I kept two of my older/biggest ones ($2k - 2.5k revenue/month) and get rid of the rest. I sold two sites privately, my journey thread and another small niche site who was making $50/month for $500. I used Flippa for the other ones: That means that right now, I'm down to 3 sites. I'm probably never going to work my first two sites for three reasons; I covered everything, I hate the niche and they have brought consistent earnings over the last 3 years. Why would I try to fix something that isn't broken? That brings me to site #3. Created 13 months ago, I haven't touched it for months. Recently, it started to pick up some momentum, so I guess now is a good time to work on it. My Strategy I will use a mix of Amazon Affiliate, Adsense and Taboola at some point when I'll have more traffic. Right now, I'm focusing on Adsense and AF only. I got 91 posts published, averaging 1855 words/article spread between 3 different personas I created. Changes I made. I purchased 3 premium plugins, all for different reasons: Yoast: The only reasons I purchased the premium version is because the plugin has the ability to find opportunities to inter-link between your articles. In my opinion, that feature is worth the investment alone. WP-Rocket: I used to have WP fastest cache but WP Rocket is just a better cache plugin with more options. Again, it is worth the investment. WP Bakery Page Builder: One reason: Virtual silo. I'll get to that later. Other changes. Smush --> Imagify (works better with WP Rocket) Added SEO redirection Silo I did a virtual silo only. I created custom category pages with WP bakery Page Builder and 301 the "archive/old category page" to the new one. I added between 500-700 words per pages and then listed the top 20 articles in each category. I am still unsure about physical silo, but I might implement it later on. Current Earnings & Rankings So far, very limited link building was done. The posts are currently ranking by themselves. Right now, the plan is to start linking building on the home page and category pages only and go from there. Here's a screenshot of my current SERP rankings and revenue from the last 30 days. That's it for today. Wish me luck! If you have any questions, ask them below!
