Looking for advice on a GBP / LSA duplicate issue.
The business originally ran Local Services Ads with a mobile number and no GBP. Reviews were collected on LSA only.
Later, the owner created a proper GBP at his residential address, with landline(different number from lsa), website, and business details. This profile now ranks well and has good reviews.
After that, Google/LSA called and said they needed to create a GBP to move the LSA reviews over. The owner explained that a GBP already existed and asked if they could merge them.
Instead, Google created a second GBP using the old LSA details: mobile number, virtual office address(where the company is registered), and the LSA reviews.
Now there are two profiles. The owner-created GBP ranks well and is the one we want to keep. The LSA-created profile does not rank well, and LSA is now saying there may be a duplicate issue.
What is the safest way to fix this?
Should we ask Google to merge the LSA-created GBP into the owner-created GBP, while keeping the owner-created GBP as the main profile?
Main concern is not losing rankings, reviews, or history on the good GBP.
