    Hello, gents.

I used Google Keyword Planner and Google Trends to determine if there was enough demand for a particular topic. I wanted to hire a freelancer to create a course in "network engineering". It was specific to the Italian market and found that there are only 110 researches per month.

On Google Trend, the index used to be at its maximum historical value of 100 back in the year 2005, but in 2016, the index value measures just 20.

Based on your experience, would you think is worth to build a site around this topic? I was a bit demotivated, but I am not sure if it's enough to determine that it's going to be worthless.

    Kind Regards.

If you want to provide a service related to "network engineering", it may worth because services are profitable compare with affiliate sites.

However, when you want to turn it to an affiliate site(like adXense), you may need more keywords, longtails, or whatever people will search or interested with to get enough traffics, otherwise, you get no clicks or leads.

Better share more details and others can clear your doubts.

    Hi, Terry.

I wanted to create a training course for students interested getting into the field. Basically, a course to obtain a certification from companies like Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortigate etc.

I thought that it could be helpful not only for some money (my target is to make 10k in 6 months), but because I can also use it to expand my professional network (I thought that it was better than uploading porn videos [IMG] )

Regarding the keyword research, I did use longtail keywords. Instead for monetizing, I wanted to sell the video series and the exam tests, not the Adsense 0.000001 bye-bye them.

    Regards

I'd make a classical "customer lifetime value" calculation as far as it's possible. In addition, expanding your own network never hurts, don't forget the strength of first hand recommendations from people who completed your course. Low volume isn't a bad thing as long as it's highly targeted traffic and you make some good money with every training course. Certainly easier to rank and more profitable than trying to sell consumer electronics as an Amazon affiliate for less than a handful of dollars each sale.

Btw, Adsense doesn't ban people accidentially, there must be some serious problems with the quality of your traffic if you get banned for invalid clicks while sending higher volumes of clicks. Most of the time it happens when people only have a very low number of clicks and bad luck.
