    I used to wear a lot of black denim and leather because of Lou Reed. Banana album is probably still the greatest record in my entire collection. Rip Lou

    I got turned onto VU about 10 years after they started and after I had already been listening to Lou since 1972 when Transformer came out. A lot of critics bagged on his post VU stuff but I loved everything from Transformer up to Coney Island Baby. Kind of dropped interest after that but he was for sure an influential pioneer.
