Lottery/Sweepstakes is ILLEGAL, BUT!?

    Not sure about other countries, but in Canada its illegal to 'host' your own lottery, etc. unless you are approved by the government. (also includes sweepstakes, etc, etc, etc).

    So can't you 'create' a site that charges $20/month, but then like 15$ of the $20 will go to one winner each month?

    So if 500 people join the site @ $20/month
    $15 x 500 = $7500

    so each month, one person wins $7500
    and u pocket $2500

    What about competitions? People enter in the competition by paying $20 and the winner(or top3) takes $1k for e.x? Is this legal in US or other countries?

    Yeah, but they are paying $20 to hace ACCESS to the site, as a membership fee.

    Me 'giving away money to one lucky person a month' is out of the good heart:rolleyes:
