Weather update from London..... Its snowing again!!

So anyway the other week it snowed so hard that London came to a virtual stand still. I rolled over in my bed in the morning and said to my misses, 'Doesthat mean I can take a day off as most people cant get to work'.... the only problem..... my desk is about 3 foot away from my bed!! So working from home does have its down falls! However in the true nature of British spirit.... in support of my fellow man that could not get to work... I sat at home and did bugger all all day! :)

You guys don't get that kind of weather out there much, do you? I was watching the news and they were saying it was the worst winter weather that most can remember...

yeah, but you laugh about how they said they was not prepered for it etc etc, but they was telling us on the news for about a week what to expect!! It was so bad that local councils was sayig that it came as a suprise and the could not get thier drivers in on a Sunday to clear the snow from the roads! Now come on a weeks notice not enough for them........

I gotta say we are not the best at reacting to crisis!! cos we need to hold a meeting to agree that we need to have a meeting about it. and then in that meeting we can confirm that a descision will be made in the following meeting, only to get to the following meeting to find out that there was a problem with the first meeting and someone forgot to tell people about the meeting, and then finally a descision is made at the final meeting.... but the snow has gone!! So they then have a meeting about why no action was taken from the initial meetings only to confirm that they was not prepared!!!

Yup that is the british governmental system for you.....

This is the first real case of bad snow in the UK for some years now, but i can remember getting snow like this every year when i was younger and i cant remember there being so much chaos involved as whats on the news.... Its just a little snow!

Speaking off the old days, my neighbor longed for the snow each winter and at the first sign he would be straight out to his car to put chains on his wheels... He took great pride driving up the street with ease while the rest of the street peered through the windows watching... Little did he know, they were all thinking 'more fool him'...
