Few days ago, I got this email which I never wanted to see.
They said I am not meeting the linking policy. The specific reason was using the word "discount" within the article and on link text.
I thought we are allowed to say that if there is really a discount available.
I lost it, fixed it, appealed it and finally lost it forever and $1000+ also.

I am thinking to create a new account. I talked to the support, and they said "if you fixed the problem and your website meeting all the agreement then open a new account with same details."
But I think it's still risky to use the same details. So, what precautions should I take to create a new account?

One thing I like about their support is this; they will always advice you to open the same account with the same details... And No, you will not get banned if you do the right thing. I recently found out that you can also get banned if you mention the price on your articles.

Between, you can open a new one. Get approved. There is nothing to lose.

Hello, I had a similar problem and did not believe I have done anything wrong. So I sent numerous emails to Jeff Bezos saying I'd been screwed by Amazon. Finally, they agreed to give me the money in the account, but they would not reinstate my account, so I just made a new one.

This is why you should read their T.O.S. You might have linked to a product that actually had discount on it, but it might have sounded like you were giving the reader an exclusive discount. But Amazon probably doesn't like it when you mention the word discount at all while linking to their site anyways.

But yes, instead of making a stealth account, fix up your site and create another account with the same details, I'm sure you'll be fine if Amazon staff said that you can re-join by making the changes on your website.

@T2tkid, if you add a disclaimer at the end of each article or somewhere else where its clearly visible (like on the sidebar) clarifying that the price of the product(s) mentioned in the article might change at any time, you wouldn't get banned.

I mention the prices all the time on my sites and add a disclaimer in the end, I even got the green light from the Amazon support (I didn't specifically ask them about the price thing, I just added the prices and disclaimer and requested them to check my site, they said it was all good).

Saw this on Meathead amazon thread, and with a link to the amazon TOS.

    @ Brad100

Thanks, I will think about adding that on a sidebar or on the footer.
But I have it on a page already.

I do have a disclaimer page and its visible on main menu and footer.
I fixed the issue before appealing but looks like they just don't want to listen.
