Man this is annoying. I am using the cheapest xsserver 256 meg vps which I think has something to do with why it crashes on long lists since it is grindingly slow at the best of times.

I had about 50k successful posted from a 500k list and could only watch in misery at looking at the dreaded greyed out scrapebox box where the posted links showed; so close yet so far.

I guess the only solution is keep to 100k blasts and come back to reload them.

Not enough RAM. Also, enable the crashdump addon and option in the menu.

    Cheers.

Ye ram is a prob but I am poor and am not able to justify such an upgrade as of yet.

Just reading up on the crashdump thing.

So with this crashdump will I have my posted entries saved? I see it saves all entries. How would I extract the posted entries from the .txt file?

It saves posted, failed and all urls. So you get 3 different files.
You load all your urls into the harvester box.
Then you click Import URL List > Select URL Lists to compare
The you select the list of all your urls that have been posted.
After the removal of your posted urls from your main list, you can load the remaining urls as you are used to.

    Hope this made sense.

    Regards,
    Mark

Dude, 256mb RAM is not enough. My 512mb used to occasionally crash on blasts of ~500k. My 1gb VPS still occasionally crashes on blasts of 1mil.

hmph, my home pc with 8 gigs of ram and pentium duo e7400 usually crashes with it too, I must be doing something wrong. That pc is aging and was built for gaming, but it's been wiped recently and there is nothing but win7 and IM tools on it! Oh well, getting a new one soon with amd 6 cores and 8 gigs of ddr3, plus a new copy of SB, that should fix the crashing!

Though I believe that scrapebox does not like windows 7 all too much..:(

That should definitely not happen. On my home PC (4GB + Quadcore Q6600) it never ever crashes anymore.
Try a memory management tool. Also check to make sure that your antivirus is not causing a big load.
    I recommend http://www.koshyjohn.com > Memory Cleaner

    Thanks Maruk!

I have always had problems with SB but they are so random that I believe it is memory too now the more that I think about it. I had a lot of problems with it and my graphics drivers as well though. For a long time I just chalked it up to the motherboard being a gaming one and the gfx card being tuned for 3D. I'm going to use that program you linked though it looks very helpful! I usually monitor my systems with "process explorer" another awesome program if you don't have it already, but memclean is something I severely lacked.

I use nod32 and it is a small resource footprint, though one block every few minutes or so pops up. When I used kaspersky it overloaded bigtime on any run, and with avg free or avast things would get missed. So I hope it is not my nod32 but I really doubt that it is, it has yet to go into noticable processor or memory usage ever (looking at it with process explorer while running sb).

    Thanks again Maruk

I had been using pc tools antivorus and found it great for low resources but tsince the new version this thing has been clogging up my resources like crazy. It seems it is doing a stupid 'scan' every few minutes taking up 50-100% resources.

I hasten to add this isn;t on my VPS I'm tuning SB on but my home PC.

I am about due for the invoice renewal so I mgiht try plumping for $25 dollar one.

This is going to have been an expensive month with alot of outgoings and no incomings! I'm about to buy AMR I think then settle in to really learning the get the most out of the tools.

AMR will come with another overhead of deathbycaptcha tho that is reasonable it all adds ups.

    Thanks for replies.

I'd been running pc tools AV and liked it's low resources till the recent updates and it always seems to be doing some scan every few minutes taking 50%-100% resources.

I hasten to add this is on my home PC not my VPS (which I am runnign SB on).

Since my xsserver invoice is coming up soon I might plump for the $25 a month deal then and see if that makes a difference. These expenses are creeping up quickly without me seeing any income yet.

As my mother says though 'you have to speculate to accumulate'.

Hmm good to know. Maybe I'll stick with the 15 dollar vps then.

Still though that is stifling me cos everything takes like 4-5 seconds minimum even just opening and closing a window.

I always divided my list into smaller lists for better results.
