Looking to create a brandable design

Hey greetings. I am looking to brand my businesses and create a character and a brandable logo for my businesses.

Has anyone experience in drawing up and bringing to life a brandable character for businesses that is memorable? such as the aflak gecko or something? Also doyou have experience making a brandable logo?

I would like my character able to turn animated for video

I just go to fiverr or look at other sites in my niche and try and throw them together in illustrator to get something I don't hate. If I think it looks mediocre, someone else probably thinks it looks fine.
