    Hello, I would like to start off by saying I am not sure if I am posting this in the right section, if not please move it to its proper place.

    My brother is aspiring white rapper out of NJ and has just sent his first EP to get mastered and while he awaits he is looking to see what you guys here can offer him promotion wise. He is willing to pay but does not exactly know what you guys have in mind. He is looking for real people to view his music in hopes to build a fan base. He has a few tactics in mind already but we want to see what you guys can do and at what price. He is looking for real downloads of his EP that will be on datpiff.

    Anyone have anything to offer please PM or reply to this thread.

    Having a website is the first part if you are just starting. And the second most important part would be the social networks since those are the ones which make the artists popular these days. If the music is interesting and sounds good, it can go viral easily on the social networks with the help of some marketing. Sent you a PM with more details.

    Upload some tracks on youtube and soundcloud. Talk to some local radio that promotes this music and send them a demo. Another great way to promote himself is to try to play in some local club.

    Good luck!

    Straight cut and to the point;

    I have a platform to deliver tens of thousands of real, engaged fans. Not gonna tell you to build a website, get fake followers, views etc. Everything is transparent when you work with me and very fast paced.

    1. Budget
    2. Goals (specific amount of fans to send and on what social network(s)

    Once I have this info, I can let you know what I am able to do

    not gonna tell him to build a website? then where will his fans go to buy his music and his merch? twitter? facebook?

    building the website is the FIRST thing you do. sending him traffic to a social account is useless if he can't capitalize on it properly.

    once the site is built and set up properly, THEN u send him the traffic.

    A personal website for an indie artist isn't essential. I have a client right now who is a fashion blogger. He has over 500k followers on instagram and gets 50k engagements on each post, 30k followers on twitter with about 1k retweets, 150k facebook fans with 10-20k engagements/post and a huge following on Youtube. I am setting him up a website tomorrow, but to this date, he hasn't had one.

    95% of the time, there's no interaction on a website. You grow your fan base using social media and I have a huge platform for that.

    I would need a budget range and his personal goals. For that realistically looking for growing his work and getting popular he would need to do a shit ton of work himself as in grabbing contacts and gaining popularity and authority. If you go to a record company they normally ask for money up front, good ones are known to charge bucket loads of money just for a video and small promotional.

    You are on BHW, and if he has the money he can get famous.

    It's not a personal website, it's his homebase. I don't know where you got your 95% figure from but it's 100% wrong.

    When the artist makes a new song, what does he do? Tweet for everyone to go listen to it where? On somebody elses site? After he sends all that traffic to another site how does he cash in on it?

    You use twitter, youtube, facebook to push traffic back to YOUR site, where you then have your way with the fan without distraction. This is marketing 101 and we all know it.

    Hey twitter, check out my new t shirts and buy one on...youtube!

    Hey youtube, check out my tour dates and get tickets on......Twitter!

    Hey facebook, download my new song on google plus!

    Re-think your strategy bro-ham, you are doing it backwards.

    The author's main goal is to get this artist some traction. Build a website for him ... then wtf you gonna do?

    Websites are important, but it's not what he should be concerned about at this time. I know one can be developed in a matter of hours but the fact that a lot of you guys are suggesting this as his FIRST priority speaks volumes and is a clear indication that you don't know what you're doing.

    And in response to these;
    Hey twitter, check out my new t shirts and buy one on...youtube!
    Hey youtube, check out my tour dates and get tickets on......Twitter!
    Hey facebook, download my new song on google plus!

    Tell me the last time Bieber or any successful artist for that matter Tweeted for users to go download a single off their website. They link directly to itunes

    Ur clueless, I sell music for a living and have done so for the last 19 years. U know how to push social traffic to social accounts...that is only 1 part of building a music career.

    the BEEB doesn't need to do anything but bang Selena, smoke weed and lip synch, everything else is done for him. U trying to compare the beiber machine to a guy just starting? lol

    who in their right mind advises anyone entering business NOT to get a website...

    Stick to what you know, pushing social traffic.
