    Hey guys,

I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me?! I'm looking to get into making music videos for youtube which show the song's lyrics in the video aswel as having the original soundtrack. I know it's against youtube's rules to post videos when you don't have the copyright to the song, but i've seen others in this niche doing this and seemingly getting away with it since their videos have millions of views and are monetized with adsense?! So i just have a few questions i was hoping somebody might be able to help me with?!

    1. Youtube's new monetization methods.. I have a video already that has a few thousand views and has already been approved for monetization. If i could get my music videos accepted also, am i now considered a partner under their new acceptance criteria?! e.g now that my video is monetized, will i get paid per amount of views as well as adds clicked?!

    2. Since it will be copyrighted music i will have in my video, am i risking my adsense account by monetizing the videos, or will i receive warning first?!

    3. I've considered CPA and also affiliate links to buy the song's ringtone, buy would anybody know of any other methods which could be used for monetizing copyrighted music videos?! I mean i would like to monetize them the traditional youtube way and get paid per amount of views but do you think youtube would actually pay out on a video that contains copyrighted content, or would they even check to see whether it contained copyrighted content or not?!

    4. Using bots to increase views.. Am i putting my adsense / youtube account at risk by doing so?! I know the easy answer is to shout yes of course! But really, like would you chance it, or have you, or has anyone had any good or bad experiences?!

Sorry if this is a bit long-winded btw! I'm just trying to learn as much as i can, and i would really appreciate any help i could get from you guys :)

I am also VERY interested as I've seen lots of videos using commercial music videos and video games to monetize and seem to get away with it. I want in!

don't monetize music on youtube unless you hate your adsense account.

don't bot on youtube unless you wish to lose your adsense account.

ringtone and cpa offers work only for high traffic videos and most users are weary of it nowadays.

youtube pays cpc and cpm it really is not much unless you get lots and lots of views from the USA.

You can monetize content you did not create if you are smart about hiding it(not saying I do this) monetizing music videos from the big record labels is suicidal.

For those that you see "getting away" with monetizing music videos you don't see all those that fail at it, trust me music is the one area youtube cracks down on, other areas not so much and don't ask what those are since many will not disclose how they make $ off youtube under the radar.

Thanks for the reply, na sure i understand i didn't even wanna say what type videos i intended on doing only for it would have been hard to ask my questions without doing so. Well that pretty much answers the q's i guess i wont be chancing risking my adsense account then.. thanks for the reply and talk again :)

Edit : One last Q! :p I do intend on getting lots of views.. since they're music videos, in the millions.. So im guessing for youtube to pay cpc your video has to be monetized and not copyrighted material ye?!

I think you'd be better off making your own music.
