Ok, I'm new here and fairly new at IM in general (all whitehat) and I want to learn and really do well at IM - white, grey and/or BH... normally I'd go through many different topics, determine what I need to learn and then continue to dive into the information to learn... well, at least get the best primer I can before I start. Then I start and get some experience and really learn from that. The problem I have is that I'm out to sea where it takes a minute minimum to load a page (when things are going well), 3-4 minutes at other times and too often, too slow to load at all. (Keep in mind that internet is not a mission priority - other things that use bandwidth are). So, my education here is quite often slow and frustrating although still enlightening. Which brings me to my questions. I'm looking to get started with CPAs and although I've got some ideas and have seen references to some techniques, I know I would probably get myself 'in trouble' if I pursued them 'half baked'. So if I could get some help as to what I should look at, I would be more than happy to. I have no problem reading and learning, I just can't search and load all the pages on a topic because it would take too long out here. If those of you with experience could point out some of the threads that illustrate what I need to learn, I would be eternally grateful! Ok, I saw a great technique involving CL. You post a clever ad, you get responses, you reply manually (or automate a delay) with a "please fill out this questionaire" to be pre-screened for a job, or "sorry the free (fill in the blank) was given to..., but here is where my nephew got his...". I understand how they work overall, but in that email, would we send them to a frame with the offer masked? I gather the affiliate networks wouldn't like this... but wouldn't they be able to see that the referrer for each of the pageloads was my frame and if they loaded that page, it would show their offer framed... aka, bad for me? Where would I look to keep them from seeing my frame? (yes, I've heard of GODCPA... sorry, can't get that... yet. There are other ways, aren't there?) I've also heard of others referring to a 'double meta refresh' - I gather that is a page redirecting to a page, redirecting to another which can then frame or redirect to the offer? Why would that be needed? I thank you for pointing out what I should be looking at - the 'primers' so to speak. Just links to your favorite posts... target rich info. Take care and for those of you that actually read all of this, Thanks again, 'Old Salt'
