Looking for some friendly advice

Hi guys!

Just thought I'd post in the lounge in the hope of a little friendly advice to steer me in the right direction.

I don't currently make any money online (and am not doing anything to try). I used to about 2 years ago but I stopped when I began a new career. I now run a legit non profit website just for fun. I'm good at webdesign, graphics, wordpress and have experience in some BH stuff, some SEO, blogging, some CPA and so on. What I'm trying to say is I'm not a noob but I'm kinda just catching up for the last 2 years.

I'd like to start work on a project with a view to making some additional income, this can be legit, BH - I haven't decided yet so I'm open to all suggestions and advice. I'm willing to work hard at it and put in the time, I don't expect to start making money right away or necessarily for the first few months.

I should also mention that I also do freelance web design apart from my day job, lately I've been working alot with wordpress so have alot of themes, plugins etc and have been reading up on things like WP Robot, autoblogging review sites and Reviewazon etc.

With all this in mind and sorry for going on for so long, what would you advise me to look into or start learning in order to start down this path, with a view to making something online in the future? Set up an autoblog review site? Learn a particular BH method that will suit my talents? Sign up to a particular service offered here on BHW i.e. the autoblog movie/tv service that is popular right now?

Any and all advice is much appreciated, I'm excited to start on something and your recommendation is important. Thank you!

When you're trying to pick a direction, chase what interests you. Think about this, does the fact that you dabbled in BH, CPA, etc but it didn't stick, have any bearing on whether you enjoyed it or not?

I get excited when I come to the forums, seeing people get 25,000 links in a month, or figuring out how to trick people into fanning a Facebook page... But when I try these things it fizzles out. As it turns out, I really enjoy writing software and tools that help with SEO and marketing (and maybe BH stuff), and as such, my goal is to get into the communities for when I want to launch new tools.

Learn how to marker and sell the results of what you offer. If you can master that, you WILL be successful.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's much appreciated. An insight into your mind is especially in valuable Mr. Bill Gates :)

I have 3 clients for my web design right now so that's doing well. To be a bit clearer I suppose what I was looking for was a recommendation of a particular service or strategy I can get into to learn something new and develop it into an additional income.

Since you're good with site design I'd suggest going after PPV or PPC to CPA marketing. Benefits being it's pretty autopilot once your LP's are built and your campaigns are optimized, serious bank to be made as well.

@Redtide - You kind of read my mind, I'm researching that right now and looking into trying Facebook ads :)

@Kumbhak 11 - That's a good idea, I used to flip sites in a similar way but is there a market for this with autoblogs? Where would you sell them? Sitepoint?
