    Hey guys,

I'm looking for a lot of GOLD/PLATINIUM/PALLADIUM, they can be in any form.

Here are some of the options I'm looking at:

    1. I'm currently looking for connection with big jewelers, these guys throw away their gold/junk dust and I'm willing to pay for this dust by the pound. Problem is - I don't know any jewelers, and they're throwing them away anyway. Anybody work for a jeweler that would be willing to put me in contact with the right person? I'll pay you well, promise!

    2. Electronics gold recovery from memory/processor chips - a lot of effort to recover and very unreliable.

    3. Ebay, tedious and unreliable. I went and email all the guys that sell flake/bullion and offer them a deal. Still need a source though.

Hit me up if you know something. If you know a jeweler and can hook me up, this would be the most profitable route for me.

This reminded me of something I read a long time ago...

There was this guy who, like you, wanted to collect dust and scraps of precious metals. He got the idea to supply places that created this scrap and dust with free sisal mats. Sisal is that rough, brown stuff that old fashioned door mats are made from. They'd put the mats where the workers stood, so their feet wouldn't hurt.

Every so often, he'd come around and replace the mats. Back at his place, he'd burn the mats and wash out the ashes and dirt with water, leaving the precious metal scrap and dust.

Apparently, the amount of metal he collected paid for the mats and made him a pretty handsome profit. All he did was supply the mats, he didn't pay for what he collected from them.

If you can dream up a believable scheme to get something similar in some places that have what you want, well... I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

OR... you could make the rounds, late at night, behind the muffler shops in your area and scrounge up some scrap catalytic converters.

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for a lot of GOLD/PLATINIUM/PALLADIUM, they can be in any form.

Which jewelers do this? I apprenticed for a "big" jeweler for awhile and they save even the smallest bits of gold and melt them back down again. Even the dust from grinding and polishing. I never saw them throw away so much as one speck of gold or silver or platinum...

    2. Electronics gold recovery from memory/processor chips - a lot of effort to recover and very unreliable.

The chemicals involved in this are very toxic (acids, cyanide, mercury), and it's done almost exclusively overseas because of this. Not happening...

    3. Ebay, tedious and unreliable. I went and email all the guys that sell flake/bullion and offer them a deal. Still need a source though.

Good luck with this. I've never gotten more than the spot price for .999 bullion buying it this way and usually substantially less.

Hit me up if you know something. If you know a jeweler and can hook me up, this would be the most profitable route for me.

Dude, I sent you a PM.

I'm also looking for old processors/computer chips (with goldplated pins and board) to recycle. Does anybody know where I can get/buy a shit load of these old computer chips? Also if anybody know where I can get old goldplated electronic chips, pins, wire, and equipment thrown away by the military? I'll buy them.

Also look to universities in your area. They scrap a very large amount also and they don't sell theirs.
