I'm now looking for a VPS, or maybe even a dedicated server. I found a lot of older reviews here at BHW but I'm looking for some updated opinions.

Why I'm asking

I have had it with Hostgator. I have experienced endless problems with them lately. Technical issues and their support has gotten really bad. I'm just done and it takes a lot for me to leave a host. Can anyone suggest a good alternative?

I've had good experiences with ServInt. I've had two VPS's with them for already a few years and never had a problem that hasn't been resolved in less than a day. Their pricing is reasonable too, IMO.

I just noticed they offer free daily off-server backups. Are those pretty reliable?

Knownhost - cheap and great support, they also have some unmanaged vps which is half the cost of the managed ones. For dedicated server - nothing beats hetzner imo.

I think I may just try ServInt. I just found a 50% off first month discount code so I'll saved $64.50. That's a nice little incentive to transfer everything.

Wiredtree // LVPS

had Knownhost vps before - they were junk .. took days to get any issue resolved... same for Future Host.

+1 for wiredtree. Awesome support (I have opened 3-4 tickets and the average response time is like 40minutes ) and the vps works just great. Fully managed and haven't noticed any downtime or anything like that.

I swear that this isn't me trying to promote some host but ServInt already has me set up and ready to go with my VPS, 4 IPS and Plesk. That was what, an hour? meanwhile I'm still waiting for a VPS instance restore at HostGator from a ticket I submitted hours ago, without one response I have you. Once that's restored I'm out of there. I hate doing migrations but I'm done.

hostgator is horrible... anything is better then that.. i like stylexnetworks. they are really cheap and fast to

I would recommend LimeStone Networks, I have been with them for 5+ years and while the price may not be the cheapest, you will experience a good service with fast support and no downtime :)

myhosting.com in my opinion i used scrapebox in their windows vps even blast without proxies. Never had any isssues although dont blast without proxies when u are using vps=)

I know this post is kind of old but I wanted to tell you some of the companies I am using now and most of them are members on vpsboard.com. I currently have vps's with the following companies a mixture of openvz and kvm instances. Buyvm, Ramnode, Prometeus, Openvz.io, and backupsy. The first 3 I have been with the longest 1-3 years maybe longer. The other 2 I have had for about 3-4 months. Service on all of them has been pretty good considering what I am paying a month for vps which is cheap.

I run all kinds of software virtualmin, zabbix monitoring, PBXinaflash, fusionpbx, and other stuff without to many issues once the services are configured. I have been a member of BHW for a while but have not really concentrated on IM as I have more of a sysadmin background. I also need to take the time to learn IM. It would be great if I could just setup the sites then get someone to promote the sites for me. In the end it all just takes money and time.
