    Hello everyone,

I am currently working for a small online marketing agency as the main project manager. My main project for a few months now has been to conceptualize a vertical specialization in Online marketing that is not channel oriented (i.e. only SEO, only PPC, only Social Media) but industry oriented. I cannot tell you which industry yet unfortunately. We are pretty much already experts in that industry when it comes to digital marketing however we aren't marketing it as such. We even have a decent customer base only from that industry but again, we seem like the typical bland agency that does nothing special, our USPs are all over the place. We aren't communicating it at all.

That is why this specialization is supposed to be established via a completely new brand that is relatively independant from our main agency.

For the last few weeks I have been working on creating the new website including content that is unique to that specific industry in online/ digital marketing.

Now I have come to the point where I am not too sure on how to continue, especially regarding the initial promotion of the new b2b brand and website.

Does anyone here have a decent idea on what my next steps should be? I do have a rough idea but I wanted to ask experts who have successfully started a business digitally.

We do have a decent budget and there is no real limit on how or on which platform we want to promote our new brand - the only important part is that our focus lies on b2b customers that are running their own brand in that specific industry and require industry specific online marketing services and consulting.

Please understand the reason I am asking such a complex question is due to my inexperience in such large projects. I think my own company doesn't completely comprehend the amount of work and experience that is required to successfully implement such a big project but they put me in charge so here I am. I am definitely up for the challenge but my company and I are well aware that this exceeds my expertise - unfortunately right now us being small means that there is no alternative.

I hope some of you have an idea because this is actually a really interesting concept and after doing extensive analysis I found almost no other competitor, however the digital market for it is huge - especially in my country.

    All the best,
    Ensili

@netmoney1 would be the ideal person to get some input on this, unfortunately he is pretty busy and less active on BHW these days, look at his previous threads, you should find some inspiration.
Also @t0mmy might be able to offer some advice.

One question about only doing marketing for one particular industry, wouldn't there be an issue when 2 separate clients are chasing the same keyword?

I've worked for agencies where they've turned away clients because they were too similar to a client they already had, and there therefore would be a conflict of interests
