Does anyone know of a merchant account that I can get setup with quickly that will take payments for a mobile application development company? I don't have a DBA for this particular business yet, is that going to be a problem? I'm located in the United States. I was thinking of going with PayPal for the time being since I use them with my other company but I hate PayPal and I feel as if I could find something better for less money.

    SirSkitzo,
I can talk to you about getting a merchant account setup. I am an independent broker / laision working with a number of merchant account providers because not every provider will accept every merchant. You are in the USA and if you have good credit, I should be able to get you setup. The underwriter will do a credit check and verify your identity and criminal record, if any. Send me an email and I will send you a pre-application. As far as DBA, you can just use your name and you can setup your DBA later.

    Cheers,
    Paul

    Sir Skitzo,

Don't rush and give every "merchant provider" your info.. they will ALL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR so they can get your info and run through underwriting ... you mentioned that you want to DON'T want to use pay pal because of fees etc.... you need to understand your product before listening to just random "merchant reps" which are sales reps. what is your product? who are you selling to? what are your charge back ratios? what is the volume you are looking for? do you have a website?.. and FYI NEVER EVER, EVER PAY FOR SET UP FEES.. EVER.. not even AFTER you get approved for a merchant account.... anyone doing that is full of it! you can PM if you have questions or want to get set up for processing.. I don't care if you use me or the next guy, just make sure you are getting set up right... PM for help or assistance.
