    Hey there fellas,

So my latest project at hand has brought me some interesting questions relating to automating content scraping (Images) from Tumblr from few specific tags and posting the images to a Wordpress picture blog.

What I want, is for the Wordpress site to update itself, no need for constant updating, but say that it would scrape a few pictures from Tumblr every two or three hours and then upload them to the site.

The next question is, can it be automated to alter the image details so that they will not reveal where it has been scraped from? I have no idea if images scraped from Tumblr have some sort of identification systems in them, but I do not think or hope so, so might be an unnecessary question in the sense.

Hopefully I can get some answers to my questions, but I am constantly trying to figure this out myself as well. Might even turn this into a mini-journey, as the point is to have the site done within the next week with a few articles up and the automation of the content done, so that if I leave it to be for a while it will fill itself with content and then I am going to flip it for some profit hopefully.

    Cheers mates,
    LC

all of this can be done in 1 hour with Ifttt.com OR you can use WP RSS Multi Importer its free solution for importing, merging and displaying RSS and Atom feeds on your WordPress site....

Tumblingjazz can do this for you via the syndicated module.

The posts you make to tumblr are syndicated to your wordpress (or blogger). You can post to your tumblr (thus your WP) via specifying the posts, via automated RSS posting (check RSS feed every X hours then post images / videos / text / links / audio) Fully customisable to work with any RSS feed, feeds could be imgur, reddit, pinterest, youtube and that content is sent to your tumblr and WP

You can setup scrape routines to scrape all new posts from tumblr blogs or to search and download new images every X hours, then have these posted to your tumblr
