I currently have a facebook fan page with ~37k likes, which are all organic, in a marijuana related niche. (I know some of you probably think this sounds dumb, but it IS legal in many places) Anyway the page is kind of like a little community, many active viewers and anytime I put up a funny status it's guaranteed like 700 likes. I had a little idea on how to monetize it, I was just hoping to maybe find someone experienced in this to give me a little advice.

Things I have in mind involve a content locker, a rolling paper/online headshop/etc. affiliate. If you're feeling generous or can guide me in the right direction I'd surely appreciate it. PM me

I actually think I might know which page you're talking about.

If it's the page that I'm thinking about on legalization, If I was you I'd ask fans to join a marijuana related mailing list for your page and then market to them long term. Marijuana enthusiasts can be really dedicated to the topic:)

But if it's not the page I'm thinking of and it's just a general marijuana page, it's possible that you've managed to slip under the Facebook radar so a less aggressive approach is probable best. Being too spammy or trying to advertise on their ad platform might make them notice your page and delete it cause of the content.

In the days when Facebook hadn't turned into nazis yet I had a few really big pages of slightly questionable subject matter and every time attention was brought to one of them, for any reason, they got deleted.

Wanted to add that I wasn't ratting you out, I only mentioned the page I thought it might be because that page is safe from deletion since it has a legitimate political agenda.

If it's just about marijuana, to this point you are saying you basically have only been telling jokes etc. which Facebook may view as harmless. But if you start promoting something through it, they may view that as a problem and either delete the page or remove your administrative rights.
