I have a friend in the Eu that is looking around for a bullet proof dedicated server that is not US or Eu compliant.

What he has found is: "A single dedicated server rack, Dell power edge C, quad core(xeon), 8GB ram, 15TB traffic, goes for +/-$180/month."

I think this is overpriced because I can find the same with 16 Gb ram, 15 TB traffic, Xeon Quad core, 1 TB sata for about half that. Unfortunately they are in US/EU compliant countries.

Can anyone recommend dedicated servers in bullet proof hosts that are not US/EU compliant? My friend is looking for a ten year contract with the ability to sub lease.

Obviously fringe datacenters are more expensive than mainstream ones.

And what 's with the ten year contract? He 's going to rent the same machine for 10 years? Dafuq?

Large job, long term. Not at liberty to disclose more other than he wants a long term contract. I would assume the host would update the hardware as needed.

Make sure it 's clearly spelled out in the contract, because this is not something to assume.
