    Hello everyone,

I have been a reader here on BHW for quite some time now and have decided to try to get on my own internet adventure.

The main goal of this journey is for me to keep a journal, set objectives and have someone to report to on a daily basis. Hopefully this will keep me focused and motivated.

Here is what I have so far:

I have picked a niche that I am passionate about where there is a lot of competition: Football videos.

The pros and the cons of this niche are:
    • Pros
      • Lots of material available
      • Lots of views and interest
      • Very few competitors have quality content (in my opinion)
    • Cons
      • Competition, competition everywhere
      • Time consuming
      • Using copyrighted content (risk of losing everything)
A little bit about myself; I am 29 years old and have a background in international business. I am however very new to this Internet Marketing deal and I will be making mistakes. Still learning SEO, site building, graphic designing, social medias and all that good stuff.

Here are my goals for this project for the next 3 weeks:
    • Post updates daily on this topic
    • Youtube
      • 5000 views on 1 video
      • 15 videos
      • 30 000 views total
    • Facebook
      • 15 posts
    • Website
      • 15 articles
      • 50 UV
      • 200 PV
    • Twitter
      • 15 tweets
    • Instagram
      • 15 posts
Do not hesitate to point out mistakes or unrealistic goals I may have set for myself, also do not hesitate to ask me questions and I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

    Thank you for reading

You said what you've got, and what you're aiming for, but not how you plan to get there.

What are you going to be doing to grow your YT subscribers and your other social media accounts?

    Yes, what is your strategy?
Do you plan to prepare videos? If so, what kind of videos are they?
Do you plan to post articles too? What type of articles will they be?

    Good luck. I am following.

Hello The Magician, as I said I am still very new to this world and still learning a lot. I indeed forgot to mention how I plan to reach my objectives. That may be because I don't really know...

My plan right now is to look for blogs, forums, social media posts or videos related to my keywords using BuzzBundle and post my videos here and there.

As for growing my social medias, I will be doing the follow/unfollow technique manually on instagram, for facebook and twitter I have to document myself on techniques.

Hello Lt.Enraged, thank you for following my journey. I will be doing compilation of professional football game footage. Still learning video montage but I am quite satisfied with the results I am having for a beginner.

Hello casperl, what do you mean by prepare videos? The videos I will be uploading will have different themes: History of football, recent game highlights and goals, dribbles, top 10, player focus... I may be entering a project that will be overwelming in terms of work for just one newbie like me but I tend to like to dream big.

I post articles on my website with my video embeded and a short text description.

With "prepare", I meant "create". Sorry I am not a native English speaker (obviously) :)

If you have a full time job (like me), it is difficult to spend much time on this. But you are old enough and based on your first post on this thread, I can see that you are serious and you know what you are doing.

One big risk I noticed: "Using copyrighted content (risk of losing everything)". You can lose your motivation if you lose everything in 1 day. I don't know your niche but isn't there a way to create non-copyrighted material in your niche?
For example: I guess that taking very small parts of (e.g. goals) games should not be considered as copyright infringement. Building an authority website using risky content does not look like a bright idea. People take such risks for churn and burn websites.

I am currently unemployed since january and kind of sick of the corporate world here in my country so I have time to spare for such a project. There is no way to create non-copyrighted material in my niche. You are right about the fact that it is risky to try to build an empire on these grounds, I simply have a contingency plan in case things go sideways.

    Thanks a lot mate!

Yeah, what I have noticed so far about top competitors is that they post A LOT. They don't really put any effort into making quality content and they have hundreds of thousands of subs on youtube... I have also been playing around with BuzzBundle for posting my video on related content on social media, can't say I am impressed with the tool right now.
