    there is obviously a good debate to be made here - which is better viral income now or a long term business strategy. or both

    Defnitely both! Why not have the best of both worlds??

    That way you're diversifying your businesses so if one fails you've got the other to fall back on.

    What I think is the wise thing is to build up a base that allows you to retire at some point and generate passive income when you will need it most. The way I think about it is that each dollar is like an employee. One day I want the employees to be productive enough to provide income when I am retired and need it most. I

    I agree. Benefit from both, and always make your dollar work for you! If you earn one dollar try to make it into two.
