I am looking to take a niche that i have been eye balling for a while
and thinking about grabbing a long long domain (8) to tackle the keywords i want.
Since im not looking to brand the domain and only grab search engine hits,
    does it matter??

anyone have any luck or bad luck with doing something like this?
i thought about 2 domains (4 each) but then you will miss out on some of the matches if you split up the words.

If you are just looking for hits / leads ... keyword specific domain names are great.

i took 8 kw's used in the niche and tried to make them make sense only using ONE ...worthless word (like: the, and, for, etc)
it kinda makes sense but i dont know if this will work or get me into trouble.

Eight kws in your domain is going to look spammy. Branding or not, you want your serp listing as clickable as possible.

You can always work your keys into dirs and page names to get them into the url.
