"Lol" site getting 15k-30k uniques daily... any ideas what to do?

I have one of those silly "lol" sites (like Failblog.org, etc), and im getting 15k-30k unique visits daily, in my eyes that's a lot of traffic. I need ideas to monetize it, i have Google ads on it, and Ive made about 180 bucks in like 3-4 days, but its slowing down to making about 12 bucks a day at most, and i cant input my tax info on Google yet, for some unknown reason, and the CPM is kinda low.

What else can i do to monetize that site? I tried Adsdaq, but they denied the site because of "lack of content", i wish i could manually sell ads on it, but i don't know how. Any ideas on what i could do? anything is appreciated!

Well, have you heard of failbooking.com? Where people submit "funny" facebook stuff? its kinda like that, but with different material. Lol

Are your traffic mostly viewers that coming back to your site often, or are they new for each day? (Returning visitors).

 

Its mainly new for each day, according to my awstats, its 1.27 visits per visitor

 

Maybe check similar sites as your own (failbog, failbooking,...) and see what are they doing for monetization of their sites.

 

They mainly have ads, i kinda assume that they sell their own ad space

 

poll and peel away pages should be available in the download section, or else there is google also. The best thing you can do is ask them if they liked the joke and tell them that they could win a laptop or sometinhg for the opinion.

Also have a look at harro's 100 % clickthrough method, then combine it with bidv3r715er.

EDIT: Thanks guys, ill look into all of those things, and ill read Harros post, i really dont want to infest it with annoying popups and stuff, i have a feeling it will lose traffic if i do so

 

bidv sucks, use it with adsense instead.

Since you don't have the tax info in (adsense won't pay you). Use full page ads and contextual hover / popups. If you did contextual hover ads (infolinks, etology) you could make like $50+ a day with that kind of traffic.

 

The thing is that i cannot input my tax info, until i get 10 bucks in my account, but i have much more than that and its been a week already, eh

 

Buid a list and send them the "fail of the day" to get them coming back to your site. Then I would try to add some cpa offers on the site also.

 

I'd go with CPM. you'll probably make more than adsense at this rate.
plus having 15-30k a day is enough to get you in to some of the more prestigious cpm companies.

How would you lose traffic if you have virtually no returning visitors already?

 

i applied to a few of those ad networks, somebody told me to go for CPA, but i dont think that would work well on my site. eh

 

cpa might not. but you might see an offer that just might get your users to bite.
