I guess I'm a bit slow, didn't even know you could do double hyphens in a domain name until I saw a competitor ranking position #4 for domain like this

    keyword1--keyword2.com

LOL, bring on the exact match domains.. Well, kinda...

I have never seen double hyphen ranking high for competitive terms.

This is a 33k search term, he's in position 4 for it..
He has 4,600 spammy backlinks. It's a one page ebay scraper...

Yep I saw that too, it was even today if I'm not to stoned.

But if it really counts or gives some weight, need to be tested.

Lol, read a forum from 2003 today.

    Most interesting quote.

"Stick away from "--" in a domain name BUT if you have to "---" seems to work just fine. I think Google messes up when 2 are there but when 3 are it does OK."

Granted the info is dated, I've never even thought about multiple hyphening.

Just because you saw it once doesn't mean it will always work. You should definitely start slow to verify that it works before investing time and money.

It won't help. If anything would happen, then would you be punished for kw-url-stuffing.

Not that it's much use, but I don't know why I didn't think of this before. There's tons of domains available such as: m--i.net

For starters, I put LOL at the beginning of the title. This is a chuckle.. I really wouldn't even do a double hyphen in a domain to be honest..

And well, I told you what I saw in the serps.. Why would I make this thread if it's something I didn't really see?

And what you have to say is pure speculation, yet, you state it as a fact.. That's a bit like talking to yourself..
