For local SEO, I've been wondering how much people actually value review count compared with review quality.
A business with 800 generic reviews saying things like "Great service!" doesn't necessarily feel more convincing to me than a business with 150 detailed reviews mentioning specific services.
I've started paying more attention to what customers actually mention.
For example:
"The technician arrived the same day and replaced the broken AC capacitor."
That tells Google and potential customers much more than:
"Very good service."
Obviously reviews shouldn't be artificially manipulated, but from an optimization perspective, natural specificity seems much more useful.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone running local SEO campaigns:
Have you seen a noticeable difference when businesses accumulate more detailed, service-related reviews rather than simply increasing the total count?
