Hey BHW! I just got back from a wilderness therapy program (a rehab type thing) and I so I havent had access to the internet (or phone, or TV, or anything) for the past 70 days. What "big" things have I missed on the internet (marketing related or not)? So far Ive found out about the bed intruder viral video and noticed a nice update on loudmo but not much else, if anyone can update me, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks

C-P-A Lead banned like 15,000 publishers for no reason and everyone got mad and bitched about it.

A guy in Canada was fined 1B for spamming the sh*t outta fb. For the rest same old, same old. :p

P.S. There's an awesome FB autocreator in the wild for free and I'm NOT associated in any shape or form with it, it just works really well for me...

The US gov took down several popular movie and tvshow sites.
And it seems that they won't stop. For some time now they are trying to push a legislation to censor the internet.

Oh yeah, this doesn't have to do with marketing but there was a big deal over "Double Rainbow Guy" as well as the bed intruder. Just search "double rainbow guy" on YT and you'll see.

China cut off mineral exports to Japan and Japanese manufacturing is hurting.

The last time a country cut of exports of raw materials to Japan, they bombed the sh!t out of them and escalated a conflict that we came to know as World War II.

    This should be interesting.

Japan is too reliant on China they should diversify their rare-earth imports. Australia is nearby and they have plenty to export.

China uses low wage and or Prison labor for its moning operations so the cost is much lower that Australia. I am guessing the profit margin for AU materials makes it more desireable to shut down.

Yes but at the same time you need to diversify in the event that something like this happened. Japan had all it's eggs in one basked and while it is cost effective when the basket is snatched away they run into a lot of problems.

Japan should never have been totally reliant on China even if it costs them more in the short-term they lose out in the long-term. Furthermore they should not have let a stupid little maritime spat escalate the way that it has.

Your right about having your eggs in one basket.

Ramming a warship with a cargo ship is not a minor incident. Looks like when the Japanese released the CPT back to China they said he would not be sent back to face the consequenses of his actions. That is not a little spat. Japan is right. You have to stand up to the bully or you will end up beaten up and have nothing.
