Hey guys,

Bit of a shameless plug, but I recently did an interview with a top domainer.

I talk about buying, selling, flipping and brokering websites.

Very interesting, of all the things in IM, buying/selling has always been the one I'm most interested in. Internet Real Estate, if you will. I'll definitely give this a listen, thanks meathead!

I like the " Add value to where you can " words :)

Definately something to keep in mind.
 
This is superb, Thomas. It's great to be able to put a voice to a name. BHW lends itself to anonymity to such an extent that you tend to see posters as these dark, shadowy figures lurking in the netherworld, so it's really good to know there's a real human being behind the mask - (and apparently a very affable chap to boot).

EVERYONE who is interested in this subject matter should listen to Meathead's interview. There's really good advice about where your focus should lie, and it's really inspiring to hear things broken down in this way.
 
great stuff Thomas! flipping is the side of IM i aim to get into as mentioned above its like online real estate which intrigues me

I've got two questions;

1)
How did you learn what increases revenue? You said that something like changing the theme could be verry effective for increasing the revenue, did you just starting trying that?


2) 8:25-8:45
Why do you try to avoid websites with high level of organic trafic?
You said around ~10:00 that your strength is not to increase trafic, but increase the revenue with the trafic that is already there.
I think buying websites with high organic trafic & your strenght being to increase the revenue go hand in hand?

3)
You say that you searched for websites on DP when you started out, is DP still a good place to buy websites ---> sell on flippa?

1) Trial and error. Test everything until you find something that works.

2) Organic traffic is risky, especially with all the recent Google updates.

3) I don't buy as many from DP these days, but I'm sure there are still some solid deals out there.
