I own a blogger blog but i want now my blog to transfer it to a wordpress blog by buying a suitable hosting service. I don't have much budget, a maximum of $60 annually including all charges(including the domain whois privacy, etc). Can anybody provide info about which hosting should i take??

    Mrb1129,

If you don't have any super special requirements, you would be fine just going with a basic package from one of the major providers (i.e. host gator, godaddy, etc). I'm not sure if they have hosting packages as cheap as 60 for the year but they are close to that. These providers also have pretty good tools for easy setup of a Wordpress site.

Looks like GoDaddy has something going on for a dollar a month,

    Best,

    Shawn

Someone is offering a reseller hosting account. You want to host with Wordpress and godaddy in my opinion sucks where it concerns Wordpress. Anfyhost was $12/yr but they may be defunct. However, there are cheap webhosts out there you can search for.

If you are a beginner, you should stick to a major hosting company like Hostgator. Their hatchling plan is $5.56 a month, paid yearly. That won't include a domain, but you are better off unbundling these services; I.e., getting hosting from a hosting expert, and a domain from a domain expert. If you think you will sell your site soon then GoDaddy is the best option as most people have GoDaddy accounts for you to push to. If you are planning on keeping it and want private domain registration, Namecheap has good prices and good service. Don't buy from 1&1. Their service is poor and the web management system is poorly programmed, and some things don't work, like email forwarding on private domain registrations.
