I find restaurants are very interested in reputation management there are a lot of people out there who are more than happy to say there experience wasnt great but not when it was fantastic if you can get 5 minutes of the owners time its a great target market.

Is it legal though? Isn't that the same as 'promoting prostitution' ?

i find insurance works very good.
as well as some keywords related to money and financial services, like in USA it would be some 401k stuff i guess.

nice thread. thanks for starting it.

Nothing wrong with escorts... I did a lil work in that world a few years back. It's not like you're the one selling pussy. Lol. Just build the sites, make the listings...

Now that I think about it, It's amazing what seo, social media, etc. can do for that world... Since the end result is "technically" illegal, you may be able to charge them more. : )

What I'm actually doing is targeting businesses I have some sort of interest in.

Instead of creating giant lists of who "might" need your services, you should be spending that time refining your approach and getting your offer in front of BUYERS. Making this list, that's based on nothing more than you personal speculation, serves no purpose (other than procrastination) and will do NOTHING to advance your business.

Like most folks who are new to this "offline" thing, you're doing it completely ass backwards.

Forget lists. Forget fishing in the same old ponds that a dozen WSOs have told you are gold mines. Forget the theory you've read, most of it has no practical application and is about as useless as the above referenced list.

Here's what you should be doing:

    1. Identify your prospect's problem.
    2. Develop a solution.
    3. Present that solution to your prospect.

It's that simple. The more specific the problem, the easier it should be for you to identify and create a SOLUTION to it.

Try selling "SEO" to 99.99% of your list and check back here to let me know how you made out. Here's a pro tip: they don't give a f*ck about #1 rankings, links, keyword density, any of that jazz. All that matters to your average brick & mortar is customers and PROFITS. Learn how to sell the WHAT and not the HOW and you'll be on your way.

Yup, it's not about "getting you to the top of Google," it's about the real results that are important to them: increasing clientele and revenue. Websites, SEO and whatnot are just tools. A pretty website is useless if it can't convert. Focus on revenue, not rankings or a website.

Do they have the budget though? So many restaurants I know make so little money.
