    Hi all,
I get the general idea when it comes to link wheels etc.

e.g. 6x web2.0 linking to your main site and the 2.0 linking among each other then you can safely link to your money site via the web2.0 etc.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some tutorials etc or offer general advice on linkwheels and how it works?

Ive got a few sites and generally scrapebox blast and ive had no issues however recently a few sites have been sandboxed..... and someone told me that id be better off using properties etc to my money site and ill be honest and say up until now ive never really bothered with 2.0 etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. Do i basically make 2.0 and then blast them instead?

    cheers.

That 's the general idea. Money site <- Web2 Interlinking (<- Another layer of web2) <- Spam

since technically you might only have 4x 2.0 that would only be counted as 4x backlinks right? so how are you benefiting from the 2.0? its eventual pr increase or traffic etc?

Setting up in a linkwheel or link pyramid gives you quality over quantity. Plus its really hard to get severe penalties off just a handful of links directly to your website ... whereas if all those spam links went directly to your website it would give you big google dances and possibly get you severely penalized or deindexed.

You can't tell the benefit your website receives simply by thinking its "only 4" backlinks. If you got just 1 backlink from the BBC with anchor text, you would be pretty well off.

It is not possible to explain the whole matter in a post still I am trying a bit.Linkwheel is a conceptual closed link chains or open link chain diagrams preferably used to enhance the SERP by linkbuilding.
LW is basically done to draw link juice by creating quality backlinks to your money site (the site that you are working with).
In this process you are supposed to insert links of your money site inside the respective article directories and web 2.0 or whatever you feel good in a chain order.

For example..in this respective simple LW diagram

You can see 6 different web 2.0 properties are connecting each other as well as to the site money site (placed in the center).Let us start with YOLA.Check how the arrows are linked.Yola is pointing out two arrows one to the main site and the other to Blogsome.First you need to take Articles (unique preferred if not then spin articles) and post it to the site then using HTML format trying hyper linking the targeted keyword to your money site.Eg...>>>> <a href="Money site URL">Keyword</a>.After that publish your post and take the public view able live Link. Then proceed to the site, which according to the diagram is Blogsome as you can see.Again start posting your article and now you need to insert the main site URL in HTML format as well as the Yola Link as you can see that Yola is hitting Blogsome.Continue the process and you will end up learning the concept. Don't forget to index your link else the effect will be zero.

Still I will prefer to create something of your own rather then going for patient LW diagram as they brings no effect nowadays.

Are link pyramids similar? my understanding is

Spam (sb etc) > 2.0s etc > Sites > money site

Ive got 8 domains with blogs on them etc to sit under my money site and I intended on having 2.0s etc and articles etc pointing at those sites and spam pointing at the 2.0s etc im assuming ive got the right idea?

The difference between a linkwheel and a link pyramid is that a pyramid does not heavily interlink between each other. In other words lets say you've got a blogger blog, wordpress, posterous, tumblr, onsugar and typepad.

blogger points to your money site and wordpress, wordpress points to your money site and posterous, posterous points to your money site and tumblr, tumblr points to money site and typepad, typepad points to money site and onsugar, onsugar points to money site and back to blogger. That is a linkwheel. The theory is that by the time the links make it around the wheel back to the beginning, Google doesn't realize that the links started there ... and authority / pagerank compounds through the linkwheel while getting passed on to your site. Another theory goes that its easier for Google to detect -- so its not as effective now.

but if only blogger and wordpress linked to your site, and posterous and tumblr only linked to wordpress, and typepad and onsugar only linked to blogger, that is a link pyramid. The theory goes that as the pagerank flows only in one direction, it all ends up at your site. it is also more difficult for Google to detect, because the web 2.0's do not interlink between each other (which is a footprint)

with both link pyramids or linkwheels, after they are constructed -- people point scrapebox and xrumer links at them.

People have their preferences, but I've noticed a trend where link pyramids seem to be more favored recently. either one is preferred over only blasting your own website with xrumer and scrapebox.

I tend towards link pyramids nowadays although I've tried both and they both seem just as effective. I also think pyramids are more difficult to track and leave a smaller footprint.

They call them different things. They are all the same when you understand how they are built. The process emulates what organically happens on the internet... There are a dozen such offers on BHW, most of which is easy to understand from their service threads. A session of reading should get you there...

Yes but the difference is that with a pyramid that you don't link the last levels like you do with a wheel.

I prefer pyramids/pushes personally since there's less of a footprint in regards to linking the last layer and its easier to do.

Remember that you can utilize services off of Fiverr and similar sites to build cheap and efficient wheels/pyramids.

So say my last level that links to my money site (e.g. 8 legit tld blogs) would I simply place footer links etc to my money site?
