Links to the domain homepage only

    Do links that point only do the homepage of a website effect the ranking of the other pages on the domain? Here Im ignoring the fact that the additional pagerank that comes into the homepage will eventually funnel down to the other pages on the website. I strictly speaking whether the fact the for example there are 500 class C ip do-follow links coming in from various sources into the homepage, Does google say gee since this domain has so many different links coming in from all over the web, even though they are not pointing a this particular page, it stll counts because the domain is popular.

    Please note in this example replace the number 500 with any number that you deem would make the website popular in your eyes. It could be 50 or 500 thousand.

    Yes no problem at all but this isnt seem natural on Google eyes :)

    so do they affect the ranking of other pages on the same domain not counting the pagerank flow?

    if you build links to your homepage only, your subpages will also rank better
