Hi,

If I get backlink to my website from subdomain for example blog.website.com will it be same power as if getting a backlink from website.com/blog ?

Nope. Subdomains usually have their own power. Although some big websites promote their subdomains extensively so they also have a great strength, usually subdomains are not the same strength as main domains..

Thank you so much

Web 2.0 links are weaker then usual links from root domain - that’s for sure

One more question please, What if it's a "press release" from big site like apnews or so ? (******** also) Does google will consider it from apnews.com or press release has less quality appreciation from google?

That really depends on the interlinking in the website,
if it's a standalone subdomain, it will have much less effect, just like a new domain,
the subdomains are used as a part of the website URL structure with a proper interlinking, it should give the same boost just like from the main domain

usually sites who offer press releases, they charge a higher fee for links from main domain as compared to a link from sub-domains. so that should tell you something

still, if you are getting a press release from sub-domain at a good fee, take it.

Depends - if you're using subdomains for WPML - it could help.
