There is a popular education related website in my country where users contribute content. The owner of the site requested members to create blogger blogs and post an article there and add a link to his website. He was paying them some money for doing this task and may did. Now the website is very popular? So is this the only reason for successful of the website? Can it be repeated or it is outdated method?

blogger links are not powerful, this would not be a viable option today. As for this being the only reason for that website's success well, we can only speculate until we see its backlinks
