    Hi there,

I have a quick question. Basically I am building up a number of anchor text links at the bottom of my site. The links take people into deeper pages of the website.

Also the links show up at the bottom of any page on my website.

I was just wondering if there is any harm/benefit in this.

Is it ok to build up a number of anchor text links at the bottom of my website.

Or is it dangerous from an SEO point of view?

Do the links actually improve the navigation for users or are you just doing it for internal link building purposes?

Having the same links, with the same anchor text, in the same place on every page is not good. In fact navigation bars can reduce the seo quality (very hard to get around the need for a navigation bar).

If it's just for link building I would put them within the text on the page, mixing up the anchor text a bit etc. This will give you a lot more seo benefit.

I wouldn't say it's dangerous from an seo point of view, it's just not ideal.

Agree with squelsh. If the same links are on every single page this could hurt you as they are seen as site wide links. Only put them on a couple of your highest PR pages.
