So I'm almost done building up a couple of expired Web 2.0s for a certain keyword as part of my Tier 1. All the content on these are unique; no spun articles.

I have some expired Web 2.0s with good metrics that I want to use as Tier 2.

My question is how many Tier 1 Web 2.0s can I link from a single Tier 2 Web 2.0?

Is it safe to link 2 or 3 of my Tier 1 sites from a single Tier 2 site?

That is a (and I mean this seriously) bad idea. PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not do that my friend. Its a huge red flaming footprint, and even if it doesn't incur a algorithmic penelty if you ever get manually reviewed that dangerous practice could get you booted off Google like that *snap* man. I know many here do dumb stuff like this saying "well I rank at X and never got caught" but that doesn't mean its safe. Unless you are ok losing this site avoid leaving such footprints.

Literally the way to answer any question related to SEO link building methods (black hat/grey hat) is by asking yourself 1 simple question:

    Does it look natural?

If the answer is no then no.

Randomize everything as much as possible. If you've got all your T2 linking to 3 T1 each it will give a big red flag. Same thing if all your properties are connected.

Personally I'd have one T1 linked to per T2. But perhaps mix it up a little once - makes it even more random.

Thanks for the quick answers guys. You both are right that would be a huge footprint to leave behind. I'm going with what Ghoast said and linking one T1 per T2.
