Recently as my site has grown in popularity I have received numerous emails over the past week from people wanting to write content for my blog in exchange for 1 contextual link back to their site. (financial niche)

I do want my site to grow with as much content as possible, but at the same time I don't want to hurt my site in any way from achieving good rankings by excessively linking out to other websites.

What do you think? Would you do this and if so how many is too many? I definitely don't want it to look like an article directory. They said they have a ton of financial writers and could give me as much content as I wanted but then within each piece of content, I'd have one contextual link to someone else's website.

Would one contextual link per article effect my rankings negatively or would the extra 600-800 words of well written content benefit me more?

Well written content in the financial niche can be a bit pricey so I'm definitely leaning towards the free content.

What do you guys think? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
