People that setup those sites that interlink to their own sites. Do they have to stick purely with affiliates? or how do they use adsense? I'd think if u used adsense on let's say the lowest layer of your linking network to boost your money page on the top, they would find it wouldn't htey. That's why you get private whois domains, and different hosting, or at least c class ips ?

I've wondered about this too. When I read about people making large site networks they seem to recommend placing adsense on them so that they pay for themselves. But surely putting the same adsense code on all your sites is a massive clue to Google that you own all the pages???

Eli from bluehatseo, with his SEO empire part 1 post seems to think you can get away with it as he hasn't mentioned otherwise.

With the sites I have setup with the purpose of boosting other sites I do not place adsense on them. Honestly most of them do not get a lot of traffic as I do not build them up for any particular keyword so the amount would be minimal at best anyway. I do sell or trade a few links on some of them but the main purpose is to have my money sites make more money.
