Linking a Wordpress blog to g00gle plus lowers the SERP???? wtf

Hello, I have my site super optimized for one keyword. I was on place 2-3 for 1 year or more.
In the last several weeks I was #1. Last week I linked the blog with the G+ account just adding the code from this: https://developers.google.com/+/plugins/badge/personal-config and after few hours the G+ profile picture shows in the google search reslts.

However since 3 days I am #6 in the SERP WTF...

Anybody noticed similar behavior? I am wondering if it's better to wait (maybe it's google dance and everything will be ok), or it's better to remove that linkage.

Wait it out, you can always remove it later. Could be a typical dance like with any new linkbuilding.

nah, nothing to do with the google+ link for sure..

I also thinks the same. I really hoooope it. I won't change anything. I'll wait and keep my fingers crossed.

Unfortunately it's getting worse and worse. It's now the end of July and I'm raking #7.
I found this in GWT. Do you know what does it mean for a wordpress blog? Can this (check please the attached image) be the reason why there is this fall in position?

Sorry, can't remember where I read it, but i have recently come across someone who also found his site dropped after adding to his G profile.
Reckoned it was because he's not active in many circles. G is using it as a social signal so your G+ needs to have plenty going on otherwise it can cause the drop in ranking you've seen.

Might be just coincidence tho', who knows?
